The winning roll continues for the South Dakota State men while the SDSU women suffered their first league basketball setback Saturday.

A balanced South Dakota State offense and a stout defense allowed the Jackrabbits to cruise to a dominating 83-59 win over IUPUI in the 42nd Annual Pork Classic in front of 3,393 fans at Frost Arena on Saturday.

 

The Jackrabbits fourth straight win boosts their record to 14-10 overall and to 5-3 in The Summit League, while the visiting Jaguars fall to 5-21 overall and to 0-9 in league play.

 

DeAirra Goss scored a game-high 27 points in a 76-66 IUPUI upset win over South Dakota State in Summit League women’s basketball action Saturday in front of 403 fans in the Jungle.

 

With the loss, the Jackrabbits (17-8) and the Jaguars (18-6) are now tied atop the league standings with 8-1 records. SDSU’s eight-game win streak, four-game road win streak and 14-game win streak vs. Summit League opponents ended with the loss.
