A berth in the Football Championship Subdivision national championship game will be on the line Friday night as Missouri Valley Football Conference rivals South Dakota State and North Dakota State square off in semifinal action.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. in Fargo, North Dakota. The prime-time game will be televised on ESPN2 and can be heard on 570 WNAX.
Fifth-seeded SDSU is seeking its first-ever appearance in a football national title game and enters Friday’s contest with a 10-2 overall record. The Jackrabbits, who are making their second semifinal appearance in a row, have won six consecutive games, including posting a 27-17 victory at second-seeded Kennesaw State on Dec. 8.
Top-seeded and defending national champion North Dakota State has compiled a 13-0 record thus far in 2018. The Bison advanced to their eighth consecutive FCS semifinal appearance with a 35-0 shutout of eighth-seeded Colgate last Saturday.
