The South Dakota State University football team closes out the nonconference portion of its schedule Saturday night, hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the 52nd Annual Beef Bowl.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. A beef barbecue north of the stadium and adjacent Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex precedes the game.
Both teams are coming off lopsided victories in their last outings. The third-ranked Jackrabbits, who had their Sept. 1 scheduled season opener against Iowa State canceled due to weather, officially opened the 2018 campaign with a 45-14 home win over Montana State on Sept. 8.
UAPB, 1-1 overall, got on the winning side of the ledger by shutting out Cumberland University (Tenn.), 55-0, for the first victory for head coach Cedric Thomas with the Lions.
Pre-game coverage on 570 WNAX begins at 5 p.m.
