The South Dakota State University football team returns home Saturday night to host Southern Illinois in the Jackrabbits’ first Missouri Valley Football Conference home game of the season.
Kickoff for the annual Hall of Fame Game is set for 6 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The game can be heard on 570 WNAX. The game is part of the MVFC television package and can be viewed exclusively on ESPN3.com.
Both teams dropped their league openers last weekend. SDSU, 3-1 overall, fell at Youngstown State, 19-7, in a battle between top-five ranked teams. Southern Illinois, 2-2 overall, dropped a 24-17 home decision to Northern Iowa.
The 2017 Hall of Fame class of Pat Dorn (wrestling), Nancy Gieske (cross country/ track and field), Josh Ranek (football), Trevor Schulte (baseball) and Kiri (Johnson) Solberg (cross country/track and field) will be honored at a luncheon earlier in the day and again at halftime of the football game.
