The South Dakota State University football team will make its third consecutive appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, traveling to Montana State in first-round action Saturday afternoon.
“I’m really proud of our football program and I’m really proud of our seniors with what they’ve accomplished in their careers here, but especially this year with the number of injuries and adversity we’ve faced,” SDSU head coach John Stiegelmeier said.
Both the Jackrabbits and Montana State enter the postseason with 8-4 overall records and are at-large selections to the 24-team playoff fields. SDSU is ranked 14th in the latest Sports Network media poll, while the Bobcats are 17th.
Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. Mountain Time (3 p.m. Central) at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Montana. The game will be televised on ESPN3.com.
