The South Dakota State men’s basketball team earned a No. 8 seed and the right to play No. 1 seed Colorado State in the NIT on Wednesday at 9 p.m. CT in Fort Collins in a game that can be seen live on ESPNU.

 

The Jackrabbits (23-10) earned their fourth straight trip to the postseason, their first in the NIT, with an automatic bid by winning The Summit League’s regular season title.

 

The Rams (27-6) earned an at-large bid to the tournament out of the Mountain West, and return to the NIT for the first time since 2011. This marks their eighth appearance in the event overall, with a 6-7 record.

 

Wednesday’s game marks the first-ever meeting between the Jackrabbits and Rams.
