South Dakota State hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to Lawrence, Kansas Friday to take on No. 4 Kansas in basketball.

Tipoff from Phog Allen Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be heard on 570 WNAX.

SDSU and KU have faced off twice in program history, with the Jayhawks holding a 2-0 advantage in the series. The last matchup came Dec. 4, 1984 in a 85-72 Kansas win in Lawrence.

The Jackrabbits are 3-0 to start the year after picking up wins over UC Irvine, Mary and Alabama State through the season’s opening week.
