After spending the last two weeks on the road, the South Dakota State University football team returns home to face Missouri State on Military Appreciation Day Saturday.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. The game will be heard on 570 WNAX.
Active duty and former military members — with valid identification — can claim up to two free tickets at the First Bank & Trust entrance located at the southwest corner of the stadium, starting at 12:30 p.m.
The Jackrabbits enter Saturday’s matchup with a 5-2 overall record and 3-2 mark in the Missouri Valley Football Conference after splitting their two most recent road contests — both of which were against ranked opponents. SDSU opened its road swing with a 24-9 setback at No. 25 Northern Iowa on Oct. 20, but rebounded a week later with a 38-28 victory over No. 9/11 Illinois State.
Missouri State, meanwhile, has dropped its last two games — both at home — to fall to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league play. The Bears, who earlier this season cracked the national rankings for the first time since 2014, fell 31-14 to Western Illinois on Oct. 20, followed by a 49-35 defeat at the hands of Southern Illinois last Saturday.
