South Dakota State and Drake have reached an agreement to change the location of their Sept. 14 football game to Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, giving the Jackrabbits seven regular season home games for the upcoming 2019 season.
Kickoff for the game is set for 1 p.m. The Sept. 14 game will be included in season-ticket packages and is part of a 12-game regular-season schedule. The 2019 season opener is set for Aug. 29 at Minnesota.
The Jackrabbits’ nonconference schedules for the 2020-22 seasons also have been finalized. The 2020 non-league slate will include home games against Butler (Sept. 5) and Football Championship Subdivision newcomer Dixie State (Nov. 21), while SDSU will travel to Nebraska on Sept. 19 for their lone game of the year against a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent.
The 2022 schedule has been adjusted, with the Jackrabbits now scheduled to open that season with a Sept. 3 game at Iowa — two weeks earlier than previously announced.
