South Dakota State men’s basketball head coach T.J. Otzelberger has announced the addition of Michael Carter III to the Jackrabbit program.
Carter played last season at the University of Washington and will sit out the 2018-19 season with three years of eligibility remaining.
Carter logged time in 17 games last season for the Huskies while missing 11 contests in November/December due to injury. He scored a career-high nine points in 19 minutes of action at Utah on Jan. 18.
He played his junior and senior high school season at O’Dea High School in Seattle. He averaged 17 points in his final year to lead the Fighting Irish to the 2016 Class 3A state championship before playing a prep season (2016-17) with the Elite Sports Academy in Issaquah, Washington.
