Jackrabbit Duo Earns Awards

A pair of South Dakota State women’s basketball players have been honored for their efforts last week.

For the fifth time in her career, senior Megan Waytashek has been named The Summit League Player of the Week after helping the South Dakota State women’s basketball team to a pair of wins this past week.

 

For the week, the guard averaged 17.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field, 71.4 percent from three-point range and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Freshman Macy Miller (Mitchell) was named the College Sports Madness Summit League Mid-Major Player of the Week Monday after helping the South Dakota State women’s basketball team to a 2-0 week.

 

Miller, a 6-foot guard, averaged 16.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 85.0 percent from the free-throw line, sinking 17 of 20 shots.
