Top track and field honors in the Summit League this season are going to area athletes.

South Dakota State’s Kyle Burdick was voted 2017 Summit League Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year while South Dakota’s Chris Nilsen claimed the Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year honor in a vote of the League’s head coaches.

North Dakota State’s Rose Jackson was voted Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year while South Dakota’s Emily Grove collected her second consecutive Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year award.
