Weekly Players of the Week in Summit League soccer include a South Dakota State and a South Dakota performer.

South Dakota State’s Rachel Preston is Defensive Player of the Week, capping an impressive week for the Jackrabbits’ sophomore.

Preston played all 180 minutes in a pair of shutout victories for the Jacks, topping Northern Iowa, 2-0, and Northern Illinois, 3-0, on the road.

South Dakota junior midfielder Alexis Mitchell has garnered her first career Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor.

A native of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Mitchell scored a pair of game-winning goals last week at Drake and Wyoming.
