The first weekly winners of Summit League basketball Player of the Week honors are from South Dakota State and South Dakota.

South Dakota State’s Douglas Wilson was selected as the Summit League’s Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Wilson is coming off a monster debut week for the Jackrabbits, averaging 21 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest with a trio of double-figure scoring performances. Wilson helped SDSU to a 3-0 record to begin the year.

South Dakota senior guard Ciara Duffy receives the Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor.

A native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Duffy garners the weekly award for the fourth time of her career. She led the Coyotes to a pair of road victories at Northeastern and Green Bay to open the season. Duffy averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists in the first two games.
