Eight survivors of the NCAA division one baseball playoffs are in Omaha for a championship run in the College World Series.

Action begins Saturday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park with Texas facing UC Irvine in a 2 p.m. contest. The Saturday evening event at 7 p.m. finds Louisville facing Vanderbilt.

Sunday’s first round play will have an afternoon game between Texas Tech and TCU with the night game featuring Virginia and Mississippi.

The best two of three series for the bracket winners will determine a champ June 24 or 25.
