Iowa farmers impacted by the recent flooding need to check their grain bins for stored corn that may be adulterated. Iowa State University Extension Management Field Specialist Steve Johnson says that’s one of the main problems from the flooding following the initial impact on livestock.

He says growers need to be aware that federal crop insurance doesn’t cover that adulterated grain.

Johnson says also be very cautious about attempting to feed that adulterated grain to livestock.

Johnson says producers needing information on resources to deal with adulterated grain can go to their ISU Extension website.
