The final report from Iowa’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board has been released. The Governor called for that advisory group to help chart a path forward for economic revival in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw says that report showed the important role biofuels has had in that recovery.

He’s pleased the Governor is calling for moving ahead with achieving the goals called for in the report.

Shaw is also hoping that the Biden administration on the national level will push ahead with a strong RFS that can help them achieve their climate goals.

Shaw says by having higher blends of biofuels available it helps the environment at the national level and offers consumers less expensive, cleaner burning fuel options at the pump. He says by implementing these advisory board recommendations it will boost farm income, create jobs, lower consumer costs and clean the air.
