Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue was in Iowa this week and repeated President Trump’s pledge to have the EPA allow year round use of E15. Cassidy Walter with the Iowa Renewable Fuel Association says the Secretary heard from around 200 Iowa farmers who told him they need the economic boost, year round use of E15 would bring.

Walter was asked if they received any assurances the administration would follow through on earlier promises as well as this week’s pledge for support of the fuel.

Walter says Iowa farmers are opposed to any concessions to the oil companies for year round use of E15 including any more refiner RFS waivers.

The Ag Secretary told the rally goers that it is critical that any rule that is drafted at the EPA on E15 passes legal muster.
