One of the people being considered by President Elect Donald Trump to head up the EPA wants to end subsidies for renewable fuels. Kathleen Hartnett White of Texas confirmed she is being considered to lead the agency. Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw isn’t too concerned about the report. He says whoever the new agency head is will have to follow the President’s lead on renewable fuels.

He says Trump has already indicated he supports the RFS and renewable fuels so he’s hoping he stands by that.

Shaw doesn’t think Trump will make any drastic moves to eliminate renewable fuel policy.

Shaw says he’ll just wait and see what happens with the EPA appointment.
