A Big 10 early season showdown in women’s basketball saw 25th ranked Iowa tip Nebraska 74-68 in Lincoln Thursday.

The Hawkeyes ran their record to 11-2 while winning the league opener for both teams. Nebraska fell to 9-3 overall.

All Disterhoft led Iowa with 17 points while freshman Jessica Shepard notched 28 for the Huskers.

Iowa dominated the boards with a 51-29 edge in rebounds.
