The Iowa Utilities Board says it intends to make a decision by December, or January, to approve or disapprove the Dakota Access Pipeline route in Iowa. The Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement oppose the project. ICCI’s Nathan Malachowski says the Utilities Board needs to spend more time listening to those who will be effected by this project.
Malachowski says the ICCI does not like the Utilities Board’s timeline.
He says because the state legislature failed to address eminent domain concerns this session, his group will turn to a grassroots effort to try and stop the pipeline.
Malachowski says concerns Iowans will continue fighting the project.
