An Iowa task force made up of environmental, business and agricultural interests is recommending that loans and grants be provided to farmers to help address water quality concerns.  Iowa Environmental Council Executive Director Ralph Rosenberg says that was only one of the many recommendations made by the group.

He says it will take a large investment by the state and other parties to adequately address water concerns in Iowa.

Rosenberg says the best way to solve the problem is by enlisting the expertise and resources of several different stakeholders.

Rosenberg says it will take a long term approach to make significant improvements to Iowa’s water quality.
