Producers who haul livestock to packing plants will have to be transportation quality certified by January 1 of 2020. Iowa State University Extension Beef Specialist Beth Doran says they’ll need to complete transportation beef quality certification training by the first of the new year.

She says having that BQA card will allow those haulers to unload their animals at packing plants.

Doran says ISU extension will hold a transportation beef quality assurance training session August 13 in Sioux Center.

There’s also a transportation certification training meeting that will be held August 9 in Carrol, Iowa. You can contact ISU extension for more details
