Economists along with the director of the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation at Iowa State University are holding a webinar Tuesday from 9 to 11 am to talk about legal and economic issues being faced by producers. Ag Law Center Director Kristine Tidgren is one of those speaking at the event and will share information regarding pandemic aid and legal aspects of those and also about farm leases.

She says there are several considerations tenants and landlords need to make about their lease agreements and a September 1 deadline is fast approaching for making any changes to those in Iowa.

TIdgren says having written rather than oral leases are important for several reasons.

For more information on the webinar go to the Iowa State University website at extension.iastate.edu.
