Iowa State lawmakers have now wrapped up their 2020 session completing their business on Sunday. Iowa Soybean Association Public Affairs Director Michael Dolch says it was a successful session for soybean growers and agriculture as a whole. He says one priority measure that was approved was funding for a biodiesel tax incentive.

He says there weren’t any bills attacking agriculture this session and one measure that was passed gives more protections to producers.

Dolch says another priority measure of soybean growers that was approved was the Governor’s Invest in Iowa Act.

Dolch says they were also pleased legislators authorized another year of funding for Iowa’s cost share biofuel infrastructure program.
