Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is vowing to fight EPA over their proposed Clean Water Act rule over waters of the United States. The agency says their aim with the proposal is to reduce confusion over the Clean Water Act and clarify what types of waters are covered. Grassley says EPA is being prodded by the President to expand its regulatory authority.

Grassley is encouraging people to submit their comments to EPA on the proposed rule.

Grassley also says he’ll work with Senate Appropriation committee members and work to come up with a measure similar to what Congressman Hal Rogers is attempting in the House to block funding for EPA in implementing the rule if it’s approved.
