A new United States Department of Agriculture report shows larger farms are seeing an increase in federal commodity payments. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says that’s due to consolidation.

He says he’s not against having larger farms but is opposed to unlimited payments going to those operations.

Grassley says he will push for reforms in the next farm bill to limit those payments as he has done in the past.

The payments Grassley is referring to in the USDA report came from Commodities, Conservation and Federal Crop Insurance programs.
