Tax Reform debate is expected to surface in the House by October according to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley. He also expects the full measure to pass both Houses and get to the President’s desk by Christmas. Grassley is hoping that final bill will include elimination of the estate tax.

He says offsets to pay for tax reform will come from widening the tax base.

Grassley says there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes in order to move tax reform so he’s confident it’ll get done by the end of the year.

Grassley says the border adjustment tax advocated by House Speaker Paul Ryan has no support in the Senate and he doesn’t expect it to be in the final tax reform legislation.
