Democrats are working to find agreement from their own members of how to pay for the $1.2 trillion reconciliation bill. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says their payment method is through taxes including a billionaire surtax and more enforcement from the IRS in collecting taxes.

He says the Democrats in the Senate Finance Committee chaired by Ron Wyden are proceeding with bill discussions without any Republican input.

Grassley says the House Ways and Means Committee is getting rid of the increase in the estate tax.

Grassley says House Ways and Means Members say they haven’t made a decision yet on Stepped up Basis but could still through amendments keep it in if they so choose.
