Iowa QB Drama Continues

Iowa QB Drama Continues

The quarterback drama continues for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa offensive coordinator Greg Davis made waves last week when he said the Hawkeyes would rotate quarterbacks Jake Rudock and C.J. Beathard, adding that playing time would be decided by “feel.”

Coach Kirk Ferentz declared that Rudock was still his starter the next day. But Ferentz also said that Beathard will see more playing time in the weeks ahead.

Clearly, Iowa’s quarterback drama won’t end until either Rudock or Beathard prove they deserve to be the guy.

The Hawkeyes (4-1, 1-0 Big Ten) will use both of them when they host Indiana (3-2, 0-1) on Saturday, though they’ve yet to decide on a plan.
