The Iowa Pork Producers Association has been assisting derecho storm recovery crews in the Hawkeye state. IPPA CEO Pat McGonegle says they’ve been helping feed utility workers and residents impacted by the storm.

He says the Iowa Pork Producers Association along with the Iowa Pork Industry Center at Iowa State University are hosting the first of four webinars to help those pork producers hurt by low prices as well as the impact of the pandemic and the recent derecho storm.

McGonegle says there is no cost to participate in their webinars but registration is required.

To register go to https.//bit.ly/ProducerRecoveryWebinar or phone the Iowa Pork Producers at 1—800—372—7675. Webinars are being held every Wednesday night starting at 7p.m. tonight, then for the next three weeks on August 26, September 2 and September 9.
