The Iowa Hawkeyes moved up a notch into fourth place in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll which has a new leader in Villanova.

Six different teams received first place votes in this week’s ratings with Villanova gaining the top spot for the first time. Maryland is second and former number one Oklahoma is third.

Iowa gained 11 first place votes while finishing fourth and Xavier completes the top five.

Iowa State sits at #14.
