The Iowa legislature begins the 2016 session today in Des Moines.
Senator Randy Feenstra of Hull says they are still facing many of the budget issues they left at the end of last year’s session…..

Feenstra says lawmakers don’t have a lot of latitude in making budget adjustments…..

Governor Terry Branstad vetoed a bill last year that would have provided millions of dollars in one time money for schools.
Feenstra says schools are still dealing with that loss…..

This is the one hundred day session for the Iowa legislature.
