Iowa Legislators Looking at Possible Budget Cuts

The latest revenue estimate for the State of Iowa next year is projecting another decrease of one hundred million dollars from earlier forecasts.
Senator Randy Feenstra of Hull, the incoming Chair of the Ways & Means Committee, says they have some tough decisions ahead…..

Feenstra says the majority of state dollars are spent on education and human services……

Feenstra says he would like to work on tax reform, which could help the budget situation…..

Revenues are also estimated to be down an additional sixty million dollars for the following budget year.
