The Iowa Fueling Our Future 100 Initiative program has $350,000 available for cost share grants for retailers to apply for higher blend infrastructure upgrades. Program Administrator Harold Hommes says most of the grants are for blender pumps.
That funding is up to 70-percent of the cost. Hommes also says there is some money available for fuel storage tanks.
He says retailers can apply up to the close of business on October 14.
Hommes says the cost share money came from an allotment awarded to Iowa from USDA’s Farm Service Agency which totaled $5 million. The $350,000 is what’s been left over since the other funding was spent.
