Iowa state lawmakers gathered input from farmers on policy priorities and the top ag issues facing the state at the Iowa Farmers Union Legislator Town Hall Meeting. It featured Iowa State Representatives Chad Ingles and Todd Prichard along with Senators Kevin Kinney and Annette Sweeney. Iowa Farmers Union President Aaron Lehman says they’re working with lawmakers to find ways to market the products they raise right at home and add value at the same time.

He says they also covered the policy resolutions passed at their annual meeting in December.

Lehman says collaboration like this is a positive sign for the future of Iowa agriculture.

The town hall event was part of Iowa Farmers Union’s week of Lobby Day activities.
