Iowa State Dairy Association members have yet to endorse any proposal to change the Federal Milk Marketing Orders. Executive Director Mitch Schulte says they’re working with a task force taking a deep look at the current Federal Milk Marketing Order pricing system.

He says the Federal Milk Marketing Order should remain in effect but have some changes made to it.

Schulte says one of the toughest issues to deal with as far as the Federal Milk Marketing Order reform goes is that different areas of the country are treated differently from each other.

Another dairy group, the American Dairy Coalition is inviting dairy producers to participate in their short poll on the Federal Milk Marketing Order Class I pricing method. Schulte says he doesn’t object to having Iowa Dairymen comment on that.

That American Dairy Coalition poll can be found on line.
