There are several options for dairy producers to assist them in battling the tough ag economy as well as the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Iowa State Dairy Association Executive Director Mitch Schulte says one program they should look carefully at is the Dairy Revenue Protection Program.

He says as far as safety net protection, both the Dairy Revenue And Dairy Margin Coverage programs are beneficial for dairy farmers.

Schulte says all dairy producers should strongly consider enrolling in the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program which will give them some help in dealing with the pandemic’s impacts.

Schulte says any producer needing assistance with any of these programs may contact his office or check in with USDA’s Farm Service Agency.
