Iowa Corn Grower’s Association members took part in the Corn Congress last week in the nation’s capital. ICGA President Carl Jardon says they spoke with policy makers about their priority issues including the need to address the court decision that upheld small refinery waivers at the expense of biofuels.

He says they also called for strong risk management policies, the need to keep glyphosate available for grower’s use and pointed out how grower’s sustainability is benefitting the environment.

Jardon says he’s pleased there’s been companion legislation introduced calling for year round of use of E-15 and his group continues to work with leaders in Congress who support corn growers and ethanol issues.

Jardon says corn growers are continuing their work with the U.S. Trade Ambassador and U.S. Grains Council on export issues.
