Iowa Corn Grower’s Association members are monitoring several bills going through the state legislative process. Government Relations Director Mindy Larsen Poldberg says they’re not giving up on getting a biofuels bill passed.

She says there’s been positive movement on tax relief, both for property and inheritance taxes. Poldberg says there’s a great chance they can get the inheritance tax eliminated.

Poldberg says they haven’t had to deal any measures pushing stringent regulations that would hamper farmers and ranchers this session.

Poldberg says state lawmakers still have quite a ways to go before session wraps up including ironing out the budget.
