Three Northwest Iowa Cooperatives have voted to merge into one company. Co-ops in George, Rock Valley and Ocheyedan will become Cooperative Farmers Elevator on September 1. Corporate headquarters will be in Rock Valley with Rob Jacobs serving as General Manager. United Farmers Coop Manager Jeff Christiansen who will remain with the new co-op as a Vice President of Grain says audits will be done prior to their going on line with CFE this fall.

Christiansen says over 70 percent of the three Cooperatives members voted to approve the unification. He says there are several benefits in becoming one merged CO-Op.

While the new Corporate headquarters will be in Rock Valley, the other two offices will remain open in George and Ocheyedan.
