Iowa farmers and ranchers who have been affected by the recent flooding can utilize the Iowa Concern Hotline set up for statewide assistance. Iowa Concern Hotline Coordinator Tammy Jacobs with Iowa State University Extension says they have several services available.

She says they also have counselors on hand to speak with those suffering from stress.

Jacobs says so far, they’ve had positive response to the hotline.

Jacobs says farmers and ranchers can call the hotline at 1-800-447-1985. They can also log in at Iowaconcernhotline.com and live chat or send an email. The service has been offered since 1985 and is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
