The Iowa Beef Industry Council has announced its finalists top ten burgers for the competing title of “Iowa’s Best Burger.”  People had the opportunity to submit their nominations for the best burger up until March 13th.  Iowa Beef Industry Council officials counted the ballots and have now released the list of the top ten burgers in the state of Iowa.  Kylie Peterson, Iowa Beef Industry Council’s Communications and Marketing Director recites the finalists.

Peterson says five of the finalists have been named to the top ten list in previous years contests.  Peterson says many people will take a road trip across Iowa to taste the top ten finalists burgers.   Judges will now sample the burgers from the top ten nominees and will announce the winner in early May during May Beef Month.  To qualify, the burger must be a 100 percent real beef patty served on a bun or bread product.  Burgers may include any combination of condiments, sauces, cheese or topping.
