Both Nebraska’s and Iowa’s Congressional delegations have asked EPA to hold hearings on their Renewable Fuel Standard proposal in their respective states. Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Todd Sneller says while it would be positive to have one in Nebraska doesn’t see that happening.

Sneller says EPA needs to bring their RFS volume levels up to the statutory levels or the issue will end up in the courts.

At last week EPA hearing on their RFS proposal in Kansas City the agency heard from close to 300 individuals. Most of those support an increase in the volume levels under the Renewable Fuel Standard.
