The Iowa Soybean Association along with the Iowa Biodiesel Board is partnering with Windstar, the bus company that provides transportation to both the Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State University Cyclone sports teams. Iowa Biodiesel Board Executive Director Grant Kimberley says the buses run on biodiesel and will be used for transportation to both school’s sports events during the 2021-2022 year.

He says this partnership is a great way to educate people about the importance of biodiesel.

Kimberley says these biodiesel powered buses have a long reach and are able to extend biodiesel’s message across a wide area.

Iowa’s farmers are expected to harvest more than 525 million bushels of soybeans this fall. Every bushel will enhance Iowa’s standing as the nation’s top producer of biodiesel.
