The most recent study of the beef check-off shows a high return on investment. Iowa Beef Council Director Kent Pruismann says the ROI for each checkoff dollar was nearly double the results from the 2009 study and included both domestic and international marketing efforts.
He says the reason the studies are not apples to apples is because the Cattlemen’s Beef Board commissioned a much more comprehensive analysis than they did in 2009.
Dr. Harry Kaiser of Cornell University conducted the recent economic analysis.
