The South Dakota Animal Industry Board is continuing to investigate an outbreak of Bovine Tuberculosis, or TB, connected with an infected herd detected in Harding County in February. State Veterinarian Dr. Dustin Oedekoven says some of the neighboring herds to the original infected herd in Harding County have been depopulated.
He says they’re also testing another herd where the disease was just recently traced and detected.
Oedekoven says while the testing is moving slowly, they are seeing positive results.
So far, 40 plus animals have tested positive for Bovine TB since the outbreak occurred in February.
