Investigation Continues Into Clay County Death

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating a suspicious death of an adult female who was found late Monday afternoon near the boat dock at Myron Grove, also known as the Highline Area of Clay County, on the Missouri River. She has been identified as Alicia Hummel, 29, Sioux City, Iowa.

Jackley says they are asking for the public’s help with information on any suspicious activity in this area on Monday afternoon between the hours of 1-3 p.m.

This suspicious activity may have involved a dark colored sedan with tinted windows and a loud exhaust system.
Jackley says several agencies are involved in the investigation.

Individuals with any information are asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at 605-677-7100. Authorities will update the investigation this afternoon at 5pm at the Clay County Courthouse.
