Prairie to Plate, an integrated farm to fork meat company has announced the July opening of its Highway 81 destination restaurant, ‘” The Chislic House” near Freeman. Marketing Director Joshua Hofer says they’ll be offering lamb and mutton to start out and then some other meats, like beef and deer.
He says they’ll start July 5 on a reservation only basis and then hold their grand opening July 25 and be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4 pm to 11 pm. Hofer says the restaurant came together through the work of local farmers.
Hofer says besides serving the meats, they’ll also be selling local foods produced in South Dakota.
