Problems found on the MRC rail line between Mitchell and Chamberlain are being fixed.

State Transportation Secretary Darin Bergquist told the Government Operations and Audit Committee that a federal inspection last spring found hundreds of defects….

Bergquist says they were not happy to hear about those results on the state owned line that is operated by Dakota Southern Railroad..

Bergquist says an inspection this fall found many of those defects had been fixed…

Bergquist told the committee that his department will partner with the FRA for more frequent inspections and updates on the condition of that line.
